Conway Stewart Pens and Glenns Intentions

Historically Conway Stewart pen has been known for practical, attractive affordable pens Glenn intends to grow the company's reputation for making the best quality, most stunningly beautiful pens in the world: an ambitious undertaking.
Our strength lies in being able to offer our customers something different.

We have the advantage of being able to produce small numbers of exquisite pens for a select clientele, reasonably quickly,"

Conway Stewart Pens My conway stewart pens!

I figured I'd write a quick review of the new Conway Stewart Pens the favorite 100.

This account for two of the three pens I purchased at last weekend's great NY pen show, so they have been getting a lot of use this week.

I always like to try the new things out, even with pens

While the 100s may be new to the market, there's nothing tat new about them.
Like the 58, it's modeled on a vintage CS design.

The pen is basically a big brother to the 58 series.

The overall shape and proportions are the same, but the size is much closer to the larger Duro models. But the 100 isn't just the M800 to the 58's M400. There are some substantive differences between the two pens.

Conway Stewart Pens and The product line

The 1920s saw rapid development of the Conway Stewart Pens product line.

Pens of several different types of filling mechanisms materials and sizes were offered for sale.

The business model proved successful for Conway Stewart and its market share increased at the expense of other established manufacturers.

As a result of this , Conway Stewart had outgrown its initial premises and in 1927 the company relocated to a larger facility which would serve as its home for the next two decades. During the depression years, the company was able to remain profitable, helped by the public’s perception of good value products. In 1935, Conway Stewart went public, raising additional capital at the same time by offering shares. The years of World War II proved difficult for Conway Stewart and many other manufacturers; there were shortages of materials but the company managed to survive by continuing to offer good reliable pens at reasonable prices.

Conway Stewart Pens and The history of the pen!

Through my researach for conway stewart pens I found out that Conway Stewart & Company Ltd is a British manufacturer of writing instruments, founded in 1905 by Frank Jarvis and Thomas Garner in London.

Jarvis and Garner had previously worked for the De La Rue Company, the leading British fountain pen manufacturer of the time.

From the experience they had gained at De La Rue, the two started their own business, initially reselling fountain pens manufactured by other companies. The name “Conway Stewart” was apparently came from a popular music hall act of the time.
